Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Atlas app and related services ("Atlas"), operated by Ankur Thakkar ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using Atlas you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Who can use Atlas

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent where you live if higher. You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity under it.

What Atlas is — and isn't

Atlas organizes travel information you already have and offers planning tools. Atlas is not a travel agent, airline, hotel or booking platform. We don't sell, change or cancel reservations, and we aren't responsible for services provided by third parties.

Accuracy of information

• Imported bookings are extracted automatically from emails and can be incomplete or wrong. Always confirm times, gates, terminals and check-in details directly with your airline, hotel or provider.
• AI features (Ask Atlas, menu and food scanning, restaurant and activity suggestions, price checks) generate content that may be inaccurate, outdated or inappropriate. Treat it as a starting point, not advice. Prices, ratings and opening hours shown in suggestions are estimates.
• Emergency information (numbers, phrases) is provided for convenience and may change. In an emergency, contact local emergency services by any means available. Atlas is not a substitute for professional medical, legal or safety advice.
• Jet lag guidance is general wellness information, not medical advice. Talk to a doctor before using medication such as melatonin.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you add to Atlas — trips, notes, photos, documents and expenses. You give us a limited licence to store, process and display that content solely to operate Atlas for you and the people you choose to share a trip with. Don't upload content you don't have the right to share.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse Atlas: no attempts to access other people's data, disrupt the service, scrape or reverse-engineer it, automate AI requests, or use it for anything unlawful. We may limit usage (for example, a daily cap on AI requests) to keep the service fair and reliable.

Connected accounts

If you connect Gmail or another service, you authorize Atlas to access it read-only for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy. You can disconnect at any time. Your use of those services remains subject to their own terms.

Price

Atlas is currently free. If we introduce paid features we'll tell you clearly in the app before you're charged, and purchases will be handled through the App Store under Apple's terms and refund policy.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Delete account. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

Disclaimers and liability

Atlas is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — including missed flights, connections, reservations or travel costs — arising from your use of Atlas. Our total liability for any claim is limited to US$100. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you; nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Atlas or its content, has no obligation to provide support, and is a third-party beneficiary of these terms with the right to enforce them against you.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; for material changes we'll notify you in the app before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
